AutoLander LLC (“AutoLander,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides software that helps automotive dealerships automate the listing of their inventory on Facebook Marketplace and other platforms. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, how it is disclosed, and the security practices we follow to protect it.
This policy applies to our website at autolander.ai, the AutoLander desktop application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
Account information: name, email address, and dealership name when you sign up or request a demo.
Billing information: payment is processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Stripe collects and stores your card details directly; AutoLander does not see or store full card numbers. We retain only limited transaction metadata (e.g., subscription tier, billing status, last four digits, billing email) returned by Stripe.
Support communications: messages you send to our support team and any information you choose to include.
1.2 Information collected automatically
Usage telemetry and error logs: diagnostic information about how the desktop app and website are used (feature usage, performance metrics, crash reports, error stack traces, app version, operating system) so we can fix bugs and improve the Service.
Website analytics: standard log data such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages visited.
1.3 Inventory and vehicle data
Inventory feed data: when you connect a CarGurus or Cars.com feed, we retrieve vehicle data from that feed (VIN, year, make, model, trim, price, mileage, photos, descriptions, specs) so we can generate listings on your behalf.
Vehicle photos: photos pulled from your inventory feed are sent to third-party GPU servers (RunPod) for AI processing such as background removal and studio backdrop compositing. Photos are processed transiently and are not retained long-term on those servers.
1.4 Facebook Marketplace session data
To post listings on your behalf, the AutoLander desktop application uses your active Facebook session on the device where it is installed. Your Facebook credentials and session cookies remain local to your machine and are never transmitted to or stored on AutoLander servers. AutoLander does not collect, log, or have access to your Facebook password.
1.5 Cookies, pixels, and advertising tracking technologies
Our website at autolander.ai uses cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies for analytics, conversion measurement, and advertising. We currently use:
Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API: we use the Meta Pixel and the Facebook Conversions API to measure ad performance, optimize ad delivery, attribute conversions, and build audiences for our advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. When you visit our website, the Meta Pixel may collect information such as your IP address, browser type and language, device information, pages visited, referring URL, button clicks, and certain interaction events (for example, page views, content views, free trial starts, app downloads, and demo bookings). This information may be transmitted to Meta Platforms, Inc. for the purposes described above and as further described in Meta’s Data Policy.
Analytics cookies: we use standard analytics cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors interact with our website and to improve the Service.
Strictly necessary cookies: we use cookies required for core site functionality, such as session continuity and security.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings (most browsers allow you to block, delete, or be notified about cookies). You can opt out of personalized advertising from Meta through your Facebook ad preferences and from many other advertisers through the industry opt-out tools at the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative.
1.6 Bot detection and abuse prevention (Cloudflare Turnstile)
To protect our website forms — including the demo booking form — from bots, spam, and automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile runs silently in the background and requires no action from you (it is invisible). To distinguish humans from automated traffic, Cloudflare may process signals about your visit, including your IP address, a TLS fingerprint, your browser’s User-Agent string, and the Turnstile site key together with the website origin on which it loads. Cloudflare states that it cannot directly identify individuals from these signals and uses them only to tell humans and bots apart and to improve its detection. Cloudflare’s processing of this information is governed by the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum and the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Information
To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including syncing your inventory and posting listings on your behalf.
To process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
To process vehicle photos through our AI pipeline.
To diagnose, fix, and prevent bugs, errors, and abuse using telemetry and error logs.
To protect our website forms from bots, spam, and automated abuse using Cloudflare Turnstile.
To communicate with you about your account, billing, product updates, and customer support.
To measure, attribute, and optimize the performance of our marketing and advertising campaigns (including on Meta’s Facebook and Instagram platforms) using the Meta Pixel, the Conversions API, and similar tools, and to build and target advertising audiences for those campaigns.
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How We Share and Disclose Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
Service providers (sub-processors): we share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations. These currently include:
Stripe — payment processing.
RunPod — GPU compute for AI photo processing (vehicle images only; processed transiently).
Meta Platforms, Inc. — advertising measurement, attribution, audience-building, and ad delivery optimization via the Meta Pixel and the Facebook Conversions API. Data shared includes event signals (such as page views, content views, free trial starts, app downloads, and demo bookings) together with associated identifiers (such as IP address, browser type, and, where available, hashed contact identifiers).
Cloudflare, Inc. — bot detection and abuse prevention for our website forms via Cloudflare Turnstile (see the Turnstile Privacy Addendum).
Cloud hosting, email, customer-support, and analytics providers used to operate the Service.
Inventory and listing platforms: when you instruct AutoLander to publish a listing, the listing content (photos, description, price, vehicle details) is transmitted to the destination platform (e.g., Facebook Marketplace) from your device.
Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business transfers: if AutoLander is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
3.1 Method of disclosure
When we share information with sub-processors, transmission occurs over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) using API integrations or secure file transfer. Service providers act on our behalf under written agreements that restrict use of the information to the services they provide to us.
4. Security Practices
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. These include:
Encryption of data in transit using TLS/HTTPS.
Encryption at rest for stored account and billing metadata.
Access controls limiting employee access to production systems on a need-to-know basis.
Use of reputable infrastructure providers with industry-standard security certifications.
Storage of Facebook session data locally on your device (not on AutoLander servers), reducing the attack surface for credential exposure.
Logging and monitoring to detect anomalous activity.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to improve our practices.
5. Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Telemetry and error logs are retained for a limited period (typically up to 12 months) for debugging and product improvement. Vehicle photos sent to GPU servers for AI processing are not retained long-term. Billing records are retained as required by law and for legitimate accounting purposes.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Access, correction, deletion: you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information by emailing privacy@autolander.ai.
Account closure: you may close your account at any time. We will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period after closure, except where retention is required by law.
Marketing communications: you may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any such email. Transactional messages (billing, security, service updates) cannot be opted out of while you have an active account.
Targeted advertising and "sale"/"sharing" opt-out: we use the Meta Pixel and the Facebook Conversions API to deliver cross-context behavioral advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Under California (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and similar U.S. state privacy laws, this activity may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out by (a) emailing privacy@autolander.ai with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information," (b) adjusting your Facebook ad preferences directly with Meta, and/or (c) using the industry opt-out tools linked above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
State-specific rights: depending on where you live, you may also have the right to know what categories of personal information we process, the right to correct inaccuracies, the right to deletion, the right to data portability, and the right to appeal a denied request. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@autolander.ai. We will verify your request consistent with applicable law.
